Subio diary

Subio is fast in development in general. He started walking at around 9th month.

• 20110724: Subio lost his favourite lego toy in La Jolla. It was some kind of scorpion ($15). He was very upset and he was suggesting to replace it with another lego toy in Skype talks with Jong.
• 20110306: Subio can do addition, substraction, and multiplication. He is learning abacus. He likes to make things. He does projects. Subio has moved to his new address in La Jolla.
• 20101023: Ms Block's email.
• 20100928: Subio joins Torrey Pines Elementary school La Jolla, California.
• 20100327: Subio can read books. He knows how to use internet sites (such as PBS).
• 20090909: Subio typed these in Skype. All by himself. He knows words and spelling.
• 20090907: Subio is in aunt Margy's house. He sneaked in Maryana's bed in the morning twitching and fidgeting. He sometimes does that in the early morning. As he is always so active, even in sleep, he is active :-)   Jong went to an auction to buy 4 pieces of land in Namhae island.
• 20090821: Subio went to USA. First a beach house and then Ohio.
• 20090523: Jong was reading the news about Mr. No Moohyun who committed suicide today. Jong asked Subio "do you know who this is?", Subio said "Uh huh, president No". "He died, but Obama didn't die".  (This shocked Jong).
• 20090203: Subio asked appa to give mama present so that she is happy. He was painting a firetruck that was cut out by Jong in the morning. He first asked Jong to cut out scissers and then a fireengine. He said appa is very good in using scissors.

• 20080801: Subio is in Marietta Ohio. Maryana, Subio, and Jaesu are staying in Maryana's sister's house.
• 20080623: Subio is in Australia, Cairns. He saw Koala, crocdile, road runners, and other birds.
• 20080617: Subio asks his father not to go to work and stay with him to play.
• 20080602: Subio realized he went to a consciousness level of adding numbers.
• 20080503: Subio meets George Church in Seoul. KOEX.
• 20080415: Subio went to a botanical garden last Friday. He described it as "Plant Zoo" when asked where he went (he made it up). He enjoyed the field trip. The best part of it was eating gimbab.
• 20080404: Subio and Jong went to Jong's work place. He drew lines on a white board. He knew where aloe drink bottles are and went to get one. He played with his Thomas trains and tracks. He and Jong went to Halmoni's flat from KOBIC. At Halmoni's, he went to the building roof with his grandma(halmoni). He uses Korean words to his grandma. Subio took life jacket from home and was wearing it all the time. He had a fit at home when Jaesu took his train tracks. He tried to hit him and asked his parents to get rid of Jaesu. He has been doing very well with Jaesu, but he must have felt his parents were giving too much attention to sick Jaesu. Jaesu threw up since early morning. Jaesu is always calm and steady when Subio has fits against him.
• 20080330: Subio attends a kindergaren: Expo kindergarten. He wanted to learn ballet. He likes pink. His rucksack is pink. He says good-bye through the milk door of our flat every morning when his father goes to work. 
• 20080110: Subio can count up to 20 consecutively without a mistake. He sings the ABC song well.
• 20071205: Subio cried this morning and ran into the front door to protest as Jong did not respond to his 'bye' when Jong was about to leave for work. Jong had to come in back and apologize him. Subio does computer learning with CDs. He likes shapes.
• 20070928 Subio lost his front tooth.
• 20070718: Subio wanted to hug appa in the morning. He came to his parents bedroom with his blanky dragging on the floor. He tugged in himself on the pillow where appa(Jong) used to lie down in the night.

• 20060610 Subio left Korea to go to US, Portland. We drove for 3 hours from Daejeon to Incheon to take 17:30 Asiana plane. He threw Gordon in the car and could not take it to US. His grandma, appa and mama were at the airport.
• 20060601 Subio saied " Perci is in water" (Percy is a toy train) after throwing it in to water.
• 20060531 Subio, his parents and grandparents went to VIPS at DunSan in the evening.
• 20060426 Subio is in US to attend his great grandmother's funeral  who died at the age of 97 in Portland Oregon.
• 20060104 Subio says Apple clearly. He is sick. Flu. However, he is still active. Test shows that he has a new baby sibling.
• 20051231 The last day of 2005. Subio puts DVD into its case properly
• 20051030 Subio mimicks sound such as 'diaper'. He gives food to parents. He walks really well.
• 20050829 Subio played with the plastic wrap of DVD package box that we ordered. We bought Korean movies such as Marathon, Mapado, etc.
• 20050612 Subio is in US.
