According to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), "The Mammography Quality Standards Act (MQSA) was signed inside law October 27, 1992, to establish nationwide quality standards for mammography. The MQSA required that, to execute mammography legally after October 1, 1994, all facilities become certified by the Food also Drug Administration (Area 900.12, MQSA Last Regulations) or in an FDA-approved Certifying Agency under the Express-As-Certifiers (SAC) program." The FDA requires specific qualifications be met by inspectors before they can begin MQSA training.

Becoming An MQSA Inspector
1 Work extensively seeing that some mammography technologist.
2 Enroll within mammography inspector training courses. Each of the 3 courses is two weeks extended and should be successfully completed preceding to becoming exclusive MQSA inspector.
3 Receive special training in radiation physics.
4 Realize the physics of mammography apparatus.
6 Using the FDA computerized data method, enter inspection results.
