Chevrolet Camaro convertibles are supplied with round 6 3/4-inch loudspeakers in two locations. Replacing the loudspeakers by yourself involves removing internal body panels, but you can do this function with easy-to-obtain hand tools. 1 Remove the Phillips screw from the center of the triangular "sail panel" at the upper front edge of the door panel using a Phillips screwdriver. Pry away the panel in a panel tool.
2 Remove the pair Phillips screws away from the trim behind the door release handle with a Phillips screwdriver. Pry off the trim with a panel tool.
3 Remove the 3 Phillips screws from the armrest with a Phillips screwdriver.
4 Slide the door panel upward to remove it from the door.
5 Remove 4 1/4-inch screws out of the edge of the speaker with a 1/4-inch screwdriver. Pull the speaker out of the door and unplug the wiring harness. Plug the wiring harness to your new speaker also test it. Location the new speaker into the door and secure it with the 1/4-inch screws. Replace the door panel.
6 Repeat the previous steps to replace speaker in the other door.
Rear Speakers
1 Fold the rear seat again lower. Remove the Phillips screw from the trim piece on the again edge of the rear-part panel plus pull off the trim.
3 Remove the four 1/4-inch screws from the edge of the speaker for a 1/4-inch screwdriver. Pull the loudspeaker out of the door plus unplug the wiring harness. Plug the wiring harness into your new speaker and check it. Location the new speaker into the opening behind the panel. Screw it in by way of the 1/4-inch screws. Replace the rear-side panel plus trim.
4 Repeat the earlier steps to replace the speaker in the other rear-part panel.
